Peter GreenPeter Green is an experienced transaction banking professional with detailed knowledge of payment and settlement systems and financial market infrastructure. He is well versed in treasury services and commercial supply-chain solutions applicable to a wide range of industry sectors. During his 21 years at Citibank, he demonstrated strong skills in both project management – successfully implementing Citibank London’s entry to CHAPS, the UK high-value clearing – and product management – introducing a number of innovative solutions that are now core cash management capabilities. These include International Mass Payments, Treasury and ERP Integration, and Multibank Transaction Initiation. He subsequently was part of a small team that worked with large multi-nationals and financial institutions in defining optimal Global Cash and Treasury Management solutions. Peter represented Citibank on a number of external bodies, and was chairman of the SWIFT Overseas Bank User Group and the APACS EDI Expert Panel. In this role, he worked closely with other banks and providers of financial service infrastructure, covering business, regulatory and technical aspects of the payments systems. In addition, he regularly tutors a variety of banking and product management training programs in Europe and Asia that cover the range of transaction banking (Cash Management, Trade and Securities & Funds) and describe the overall market infrastructure and players involved in settlement of payments, securities and foreign exchange. He has facilitated a series of customer roundtable debates on behalf of a major global bank. Prior to joining Citibank, he worked for two years at an engineering company, specialising in telecommunications systems. He holds a BA (Hons) in Mathematics gained at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. |
